Menu Prints – Where Art Meets Science

1 December 2026 – 31 January 2027

For several decades, the Nobel Laureates in Physiology or Medicine have gathered for a dinner with members of the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine a few days before the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony. This cherished tradition brings together science, music, gastronomy and art in an intimate and ceremonial setting.

An important part of the tradition is the specially produced menu cards. Each menu features a signed and numbered original graphic work of art by a distinguished Swedish artist. The artists are free to choose their own motifs, which are created in black-and-white printmaking specifically for the occasion. Two artists are commissioned each year.

The exhibition in the Bernadotte Room presents these signed menu prints alongside a table setting featuring the Nobel dinner service. Together they tell the story of a unique tradition that unites some of Sweden’s leading artists with world-renowned researchers during Nobel Week.
