Welcome to Sweden’s Most Beautiful Art Museum!
Welcome to Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde — a unique destination on Djurgården where art, history, architecture and nature come together in a setting unlike any other in Stockholm.
Once the home of Prince Eugen (1865–1947), acclaimed landscape painter, passionate art collector and patron of the arts, Waldemarsudde is today one of Sweden’s most beloved art museums. Here, visitors can experience both the prince’s own artistic world and a rich collection of Nordic art from the late 19th century to the present day.
Set beside the water and surrounded by lush gardens, Waldemarsudde offers more than exhibitions. Stroll through the sculpture park, discover the beautifully preserved private apartments, enjoy seasonal dining with views of the park and browse design, books and gifts in the museum shop.
Throughout the year, the museum presents major temporary exhibitions alongside works from Prince Eugen’s own collection and home. Whether you come for the art, the gardens, a peaceful lunch or simply a moment of inspiration, Waldemarsudde invites you to slow down and experience one of Stockholm’s most atmospheric cultural destinations.
